What will you find when you go “behind the steam” with us at the Marshall Steam Museum? Join us every month for the next year as we take a close look at a special item in our collection and then zoom out for a larger discussion with experts and enthusiasts. Our collection goes beyond Stanley steam cars, so tune in every month to see what interesting items we uncover!

Every third Thursday of the month at 7:00 pm

This program is currently VIRTUAL, so be sure to join us online! You must register in advance to attend the virtual program, which can be done at the links below.

Upcoming Programs:

  • Behind the Steam: Luxurious Packards, April 15 at 7 pm
    • “Ask the Man Who Owns One” is the iconic phrase associated with the Packard brand. Discover the history and highlights of rare and interesting Packards in this joint program between the Gilmore Car Museum and the Marshall Steam Museum.
  • Behind the Steam: Wedding Bells, June 17 at 7 pm
    • What were weddings like at the beginning of the 20th century? Learn about the traditions of these early weddings through the lens of Clarence and Esther Marshall. This program is done in partnership with the Auburn Valley State Park.
  • Stay tuned for more events! This program runs the whole year and new topics will be released every month.
