Chinese guitarist Xiaobo Pu and American flutist Emma Resmini put on a breathtaking performance opening for Colin Davin in our 2016-17 season, and they impressed us so much that we asked them to return this season with a full concert program! Xiaobo will perform one half of the program solo, and play flute & guitar duos with Emma Resmini during the other half. Both Xiaobo and Emma are students completing degrees at Curtis Institute of Music.
Works by Bach, Tansman, Henze (Pu), and Beaser, Piazzolla (Pu and Resmini).
Guest Opening Artist: Philadelphia Guitar Quartet
This concert will take place in our new home, the lovely sanctuary of the Presbyterian Church of the Covenant, a space so acoustically intimate and beautiful it has to be heard to be believed.
