Hopefully by now you’ve seen local artist Terrance Vann on the cover of our latest What’s IN Calendar floating all over town. We fell IN love with Terrance’s talent and creative energy the second we were introduced and we’re so very proud of the hard work he puts in to advance his art and our community here #inWilm! He’s a busy man, but we were able to get him to answer a few quick questions for us so you can learn a little more about where Terrance gets his INspiration…
What is Wilmington to you?
Wilmington is such a magical place, I honestly think anything can happen here because it has such a huge hidden potential. I was pretty much born and raised in Wilmington and it has carved me out to be the person I am today. I think Wilmington has many qualities you can’t find anywhere else and my art is inspired a great deal by living in Wilmington. The city is changing and growing in different ways and I believe that it will continue to see a whole new culture develop.

If we’ve learned anything about you, it’s that you never stop moving and creating – what’s next?
I currently am working on a few projects that I am really excited about! I am working on my first major mural in the Creative District and it will be 60 Sq ft so I am really hype to see that come together. Other than that I’m just painting and moving around from different events and opportunities that just come from being an artist who’s ambitious. I am working on new paintings and am looking to debut them sometime in the future but I have a lot more work to do. I want to just keep trying to take my art to the next level and just see what happens!
