Backpack Giveaway INvades Altitude Trampoline Park

Backpack Giveaway IN Wilmington

Local designer and fashionista Cherné Altovise puts her crafter tools down each summer to spend some time focusing on local youth during her annual Backpack Giveaway. This year’s affair, scheduled for Saturday, August 11th from 12pm-5pm at Altitude Trampoline Park on the Wilmington Riverfront, marks the artist’s fourth year of giving back to the kids.

“I believe it’s important to work with the entire community to prepare our children for the future,” says Cherné, who has worked with major sponsors in the past like Wawa, Jimmy Johns, Rita’s Water Ice and Dairy Queen to fill the bags of hundreds of in-need students.

The Backpack Giveaway provides book bags and school supplies for children grades K-12, plus, an hour of jumping at the park, food, drinks, games and face-painting, all free of charge. Last year, they donated to over 200 children in jump and jam fashion, and this summer, they hope to beat those numbers and provide even more school supplies for the kids in the downtown Wilmington area.

This year’s sponsors include Altitude Trampoline Park, Five Below and Royalty Code Clothing. Sponsorship opportunities are still available if you’d like to add your company to the list of gracious community organizations!

Can’t donate? No problem. Do your part by spreading the word and telling a friend IN need about this excellent opportunity for youth #inWilm!
